How to get room elevations
WhereDrawings tab button in the left panel
Steps
- Open Drawings → . A full-screen viewer opens: first the floor's elevation key plan, then the sheets of all rooms on the floor, as they will come out in the PDF. If a room was selected on the plan, the viewer shows its sheets right away.
- On the left are sheet thumbnails: click to go to a sheet. At the top are with arrows, the screen scale, Fit width and Whole sheet.
- On the right are the settings of the room on the current sheet: each room has its own, and the albums use the same ones. In Room walls click a letter, and the viewer goes to the sheet with that wall.
- In Show choose the pass:
Setting-out openings, furniture and devices with heights and distances from the corner. Goes into the drawings album; Finishes materials, tile joints, colors, skirting, ceiling box, floor build-up. Goes into the finishes album; Outline only walls, openings and items with overall dimensions; Electrics and Water and heating the setting-out of their own section, the rest in grey. - Sheet scale: Auto takes the largest scale at which the walls fit on one sheet. 1:20 or 1:25 for a detailed view, for example a bathroom with tiles; 1:50 or 1:100 for ordinary elevations. If the chosen one does not fit, the viewer takes a smaller one and says so.
- View depth: how many centimeters from the wall appear on the elevation (120 by default). First wall and Order: from which side of the plan wall А starts and in which direction the letters go.
- In the album: which rooms of the floor go into the albums, the key plan and the viewer. Sheets at the bottom of the panel sets the format (A4 or A3) and the style: Simple with a thin frame or GOST with a title block. They are shared with the album.
- Download PDF saves all sheets in one file, the arrow next to it gives Current sheet and Current sheet as SVG. The button with a printer prints all sheets. Back to plan or Esc closes the viewer.
How a sheet is laid out
- The walls of the room go in a strip following the order, with its letter in a circle above each one. A long strip wraps to the next row and sheet. The sheet title lists its walls: .
- The title block follows GOST R 21.101-2026, form 3: the code with the set mark (АР for setting-out and outline, АИ for finishes, ЭМ for electrics, ВК for water), the sheet title with the scale, the sheet number.
- At the top is the floor slab in section, at the bottom the floor and the slab. On the left are levels in meters from 0.000, the finished floor of the first floor. Below the walls are dimensions in millimeters.
- Colors: furniture in green-turquoise, electrics in red, water in the system color, heating in orange, ventilation and air conditioners in light blue. At the bottom of the sheet is a legend of the colors and pipe marks: it is mandatory once there is color on the sheet (GOST R 21.101-2026, cl. 5.1.4).
- Which wall is where is shown by a separate sheet, Wall elevation key plan. A key plan on every sheet is needed only when one image is cut across several sheets (GOST R 21.101-2026, cl. 5.5.11).
What is on the Setting-out elevation
- Doors with casing and handle, windows with frame. A leaf opening into the room is drawn with solid lines, outward with dashed lines, sliding ones with a travel arrow. The opening height is shown as a dimension chain on the side.
- Furniture closer than 1.2 m to the wall is drawn in front view: kitchen doors and drawers, wardrobe doors, plumbing fixtures with their own drawing. The nearer item covers the farther one, 3D models from the catalog are shown as an outline.
- Furniture has a frame with the name and the overall size in millimeters: . Kitchen modules are labeled only if you named them yourself. Your caption for an item goes as a line in the same frame.
- Sockets, switches, connection points, radiators, air conditioners and grilles stand on their own wall, with their own symbol and color. The height is a dimension chain from the floor (the same as on the plan), and on the side is the distance from the corner or opening to the axis of the device. Devices closer than 15 cm to each other share one dimension.
- A device behind furniture (a socket behind a cabinet) is drawn with a dashed outline.
What is on the Finishes elevation
- Areas of different materials, their layers from the wall, tile joints following the layout, color numbers on the leader shelves, ceiling finish and drop.
- Skirting, ceiling skirting and molding are shown as a strip with the height of their profile.
- The start of the tile layout is marked with arrows; when the layout starts from the middle of the wall, also with a dash-dot centering axis.
- A box or second ceiling level at the wall is shown by a line at the underside of the level with the caption <material>, drop 150 mm.
- The floor build-up is shown in layers at their thickness under the floor line.
Good to know
- By default the order is clockwise from the topmost wall on the plan.
- A wall shared with a neighboring room is shown from the side of the selected room. A room boundary without a wall gives no elevation.
- If an opening goes beyond the wall or openings overlap each other, a warning appears above the sheet.
- Ceiling lights, underfloor heating and outdoor air-conditioner units do not appear on wall elevations.
