How to upload a floor plan
WherePlan tableft panelImport a floor plan button
Steps
- Choose a path at the top of the window: Recognise with AI or Trace it yourself.
- Choose a file or drag it into the window. A photo, scan or drawing in JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF will work. For a PDF, the first page is used.
- Click Recognise or Go to tracing.
What you should know
- While the AI is reading the plan, a bar runs across the picture in the window and the stages are shown: reading the image, finding walls, identifying rooms. This usually takes about half a minute. Cancel stops the recognition.
- When the plan has been read, the window closes and the walls are drawn right on the plan over the underlay, followed by doors, windows and floors. Walls on a floor where something was drawn earlier are replaced with the recognised ones: the window warns you about this in advance.
- The first recognition is free. After that it is available on a plan: the window will offer Choose a plan or tracing the plan yourself, which is always free.
- If the plan has no printed dimensions, it will be placed as an underlay, and the editor will ask you to set the scale by a wall.
- Trace it yourself places the plan as an underlay and immediately offers to set the scale.
