How to set the underlay scale
WherePlan tableft panelUnderlay card
Steps
- Until the scale is set, the card offers two ways: By one wall and By overall size.
- By one wall: press and hold the mouse button at a corner of any wall whose length you know, drag to the other corner and release. You can also do it with two clicks. The line snaps to horizontal and vertical.
- A length field appears next to the line. Enter the real length of the wall and press OK or Enter.
- By overall size: draw a frame around the whole plan from one corner to the opposite corner, then enter the width and length of the plan. One number is enough.
- The underlay smoothly stretches to the entered size, and a length label stays above the line. Re-measure starts over, Done closes the marking.

Good to know
- Under the file name in the card, it says how the scale was set: by a wall, by overall size or by the dimensions on the plan.
- The eye in the card hides the underlay without deleting it. The Opacity slider makes it paler or denser.
- The More menu contains: Re-measure by a wall, Set by overall size, Fit by corners (move and stretch the underlay with the mouse), Replace file, Lock and Delete underlay.
- A locked underlay cannot be re-measured, replaced or deleted until it is unlocked. Visibility and opacity can be changed even for a locked one.
