How to add a dormer

Steps
- Click Add dormer. The dormer is placed in the middle of the main part on the first slope.
- Set Slope (first or second), (gable or single-slope), Shift along the ridge from its middle, and Width and Height of the front wall.
- The trash can in the Dormer N row deletes the dormer.
What is important to know
- A dormer consists of a front wall with glazing, side cheeks and its own roof: either gable, with its ridge across the main one, or single-slope, rising gently upward. The dormer roof meets the slope along valleys.
- The roof plan shows the front line, the cheeks, the dormer ridge and the valleys.
- Dormers are placed on the slopes of the main part; on a hip roof only on the long slopes, not on the hip ends. A dormer that is too wide near an end is shifted inward.
- The slope under the dormer is not cut out: the dormer is not yet visible from inside the attic.
