How to set waterproofing and insulation

Steps

  1. Floor waterproofing: Liquid membrane, Penetrating or Sheet membrane; check the turn-up onto the walls (200 mm by default) and click on the room or drag out an area (for example, a shower).
  2. Wall waterproofing: the Walls card, height from the floor, click near a wall or in the room.
  3. Sound and heat: at the top choose Floor, Walls or Ceiling, then the material (mineral wool, Penoplex, ZIPS, Soundline, membrane, sheet under screed, cork) and the thickness. Floor and ceiling: click on the room. Walls: click near a wall, and the layer will be added to its type on that side, and the wall will become thicker.

What is important to know

  • According to SP 29, cl. 7.2, waterproofing is turned up onto the walls to at least 200 mm, and in a shower to the full wetting height.
  • A wet room without floor waterproofing produces a warning (SP 29, cl. 7.1).
  • The bathroom floor must be 15–20 mm lower than the adjacent ones, or have a threshold up to 20 mm, or the whole floor must be waterproofed (SP 29, cl. 4.8).
  • No consumption rate was found for penetrating waterproofing, and the materials list shows the note No data.
