How to verify with a calculation

Wherestep Calculation and checksabove the tiles of any of the four buttons

Steps

  1. In the Heating tab of the window, choose a city. The climate is taken from SP 131.13330.2025.
  2. Specify where north points on the plan, and what is below the lowest floor and above the top one: for an apartment there are neighbours there, for a house there are ground and roof.
  3. If the house is old, enter the resistance of the walls and windows. If left empty, the value required by SP 50.13330.2024 for the city is used, that is, the house is insulated to the standards.
  4. If you entered the wall resistance by layers, Thermal bridges will appear: choose the wall construction, and the reveals and the junction with the floor slab will be added.
  5. Apartment: enter Storeys in the building and Apartment floor: without them infiltration through the windows is not calculated (there is a remark about this). A house calculates the height from its own floors.
  6. Expand Exterior walls and correct anything that is wrong. By the rule, an exterior wall in a house is the entire outer boundary, in an apartment only the wall with a window.
  7. Look through the remarks: a click shows the place on the plan. Size the heaters enters the power from the calculation for the appliances.

What is calculated

  • Heat losses of rooms per SP 60.13330.2020, Annex A: through exterior walls, windows, doors, floor and ceiling, and for heating the required air supply. Additions for orientation and for a corner room are switched on only with a checkbox: they are not in the current SP 60, they come from the repealed SNiP 2.04.05-91.
  • Infiltration through windows and balcony doors by formulas (A.7)–(A.10) of SP 60: wind by city (SP 131.13330.2025, Table 5.1) with a correction for height and terrain (SP 20.13330, Table 11.2), stack effect by building height. Windows per the SP 50 norm, Table 10: PVC and aluminium 5.0, wood 6.0 kg/(m²·h). On the upper floors of a tall house there is no infiltration: the air goes out. With mechanical supply (P1) it is not counted (SP 60, A.5).
  • It is combined with the required supply by the setting With required supply. By default The larger of the two: with natural ventilation the supply is the air coming through the windows (SP 60, cl. 6.2.2; a rule from SNiP 2.04.05-91*). Amount repeats formula (A.1) of SP 60.
  • Thermal bridges. In the required resistance per SP 50 they are already included. For your own wall by layers, Ψ are taken by the chosen construction (External insulation, render facade, Faced masonry, slab through the wall, Internal insulation) from SP 230.1325800.2015, Annex G.
  • How much the appliances give at the set heat carrier temperatures, how much is needed per the datasheet, with a 10 % reserve for the thermostatic valve (SP 60, cl. 6.2.13).
  • Heating pipes: flow rate, diameter by velocity up to 1.0 m/s (SP 60, Table I.1), pump head by pipe friction. Supply temperature no higher than 95 °C, with plastic pipes 90 °C.
  • Underfloor heating, air conditioners and ventilation are calculated as described above.
  • Loads for Electrics: which appliances of the section are powered from the mains and with what power.

What is not calculated: the entrance door of the house (in infiltration it is counted as a balcony door, although SP 50 has its own norm for it), the top of the vent shaft above the roof (the building height is counted to the top of the last floor), losses to adjacent rooms with a different temperature, the hydraulics of the boiler and fittings, the acoustics of air ducts.
