Wall window

FieldWhat it sets
Inner length, Outer lengthThe length along the inner and the outer side
ThicknessFrom 5 to 50 cm
AnchorWhich line stays in place when the thickness changes: the inner face, the centre line or the outer face. For a wall outside a room: left, centre line, right along the direction of the wall
At cornersWhich of the two walls runs through the corner in full. Auto: a load-bearing wall (brick, block, concrete) wins over a partition, glazing, plasterboard and wood; equal walls share the corner along the diagonal. Through and Butts are set manually
HeightThe level of the top of the wall above the floor
Bottom above floorFor a box under the ceiling or a wall above an opening. At zero the wall runs from the floor
BaseThe material. The hatching on the plan depends on it. For a wall with a type it is taken from the type
TypeA named wall type with layers: Aerated concrete 300 + plaster, Plasterboard partition 100 and others. The thickness and base of the wall are taken from the type. No type: an ordinary wall
Layers, Flip layersThe composition of the type as a line and a button that swaps the sides of the layers
StageExisting, to be demolished or new. See Renovation Stages

Good to know

  • Lengths and thickness are entered in the project unit: a 2.5 m wall is in millimetres, in centimetres, in metres. Whole numbers are shown without a decimal point.
  • A wall drawn as Left or right of the line remembers that face, and a room drawn with a frame remembers the inner faces. Their new thickness grows outward, the size of the room does not change, and the neighbouring walls extend to the new corner. For a centre line wall the thickness grows in both directions.
  • A selected wall shows its dimensions: the length, and for a separate wall the thickness as well. A wall at a corner has two dimensions: the outer length to the outer corner and the inner length to the inner corner.
  • If an edit breaks the plan (an opening does not fit, a wall becomes shorter than its thickness), it is not applied and the reason is shown in a message.
