Fields
| Field | What it affects |
|---|---|
| Element size, mm. Tile from 23 × 23 mosaic to 1200 × 1200, board in typical laminate and parquet sizes (laminate defaults to 1380 × 190, like Quick-Step Impressive; change it to yours) | |
| Straight; staggered with rows offset by 1/2, 1/3 or 1/4 of a board; diagonal; herringbone | |
| Joint to joint or staggered by half a tile, like brick bond | |
| Joint width, mm. 2 mm by default (standard); grout is calculated from it (Ceresit formula) | |
| Corner: a whole element in the top left corner of the room on the plan (on a wall, at the left corner); Centre: an element in the middle, cuts at the edges are equal | |
| At floor or At top (at the upper edge of the area); the cut goes down, under the baseboard | |
| Direction of the rows, degrees: 0 along the horizontal of the plan, 90 across |
What you see
- Plan: the actual layout: tile and board joints at their real size, from the chosen start, with rotation and row offset (GOST 21.507, cl. 11). Fine mosaic is not drawn at a small scale, only the colour. Herringbone is drawn as a pattern.
- 3D: tile with the same sizes, joint and start; for stone (marble, travertine, terrazzo) each tile has its own piece of the pattern. The board rotates together with the rows.
- Wall elevations: tile joints on each wall, going around windows, doors and backsplashes.
- Calculation: pieces by layout: how many in total, whole, with a cut and with a narrow cut (less than 1/5 of an element: the program tries to avoid it by shifting the start). If the layout gives more pieces than the area with the allowance from the data sheet, Buy takes the layout, and the source gets the note by layout.
Good to know
- Every element touched by the outline is counted as bought: offcuts are not reused: this is counted to be enough.
- Herringbone and mosaic smaller than the search can handle are counted by area with an allowance.
