How to set a screed

WhereFinishes tabScreed

Steps

  1. Choose the screed: sand-concrete, semi-dry, dry (elements and fill), self-leveling.
  2. Set the thickness.
  3. Click the room or drag across an area.

What to know

  • Per SP 29, cl. 8.2, the screed must be at least 20 mm thick over a slab and 40 mm over thermal or sound insulation; over underfloor heating pipes it must be 45 mm thicker than the pipe. The pipe diameter is set in the calculation window.
  • Semi-dry screed is laid only on a rigid base, not on mineral wool or sound-insulation roll (SP 29, cl. 8.5).
  • The thickness is also checked against the mix data sheet (Osnovit: 20–200 mm, Ceresit CN 175: 3–60 mm).
