How to divide a room without a wall
WherePlan tabthe button with a dashed line between two walls in the lower right corner of the plan
Needed when there is no wall but there are two rooms: a kitchen-living room, a niche, a hallway without a door. Each part will have its own area, its own name and its own floor and wall finish.
Steps
- Click the Room boundary button.
- Click on the wall where the boundary starts. The point snaps to the wall axis, to its corner or to the end of another boundary: snapping is shown by a circle or a small square.
- Click on the wall where the boundary ends.
- The room is divided. The tool stays on: you can immediately place the next boundary.

Good to know
- On the plan the boundary is drawn as a thin dashed line. It does not exist in 3D, and furniture can be placed across it freely.
- For the room to be divided, both ends must lie on walls or on other boundaries. A boundary hanging in the air divides nothing.
- The name and finish of the original room go to the part that is more similar to it in its corners. For the second part they are set anew.
- Outside the Plan tab boundaries cannot be selected or placed.
