How to place a row of identical items

What to know

• A freestanding item is placed next to the previous one at the set step; a copy that lands in a wall is pushed out of it.
• An item with a mount is placed in a row only if each copy lands on its own support: hooks and shelves along a wall, sinks on adjacent cabinets, ovens in niches, sockets along a wall. A copy across a wall, beyond its end or past the countertop is not placed.
• If not all copies were placed, the message will tell you how many and why.
