How to set floor heights

Heights are calculated according to GOST 21.501 and SP 54:

±0.000the finished floor of the first storey.
Storeythe storey height from the finished floor to the finished floor of the next storey.
Slabthe slab above the storey. Its underside matches the top of the storey's walls.
Floorthe screed and covering on the slab. The floor lies on the slab inside the wall height, and the finished floor is higher than the slab by this thickness.
Ceiling dropa stretch or suspended ceiling lower than the slab.
Room heightfrom the finished floor to the ceiling, that is, the storey minus the slab, minus the floor, minus the drop.

Steps

  1. Click the gear next to the floor switcher. The floor window will open on the right.
  2. Set the storey height and the thicknesses.
  3. The Result block shows the room height, the top of the walls above the floor, the masonry height and the storey level. The section diagram below shows where the floor and the ceiling are; the i icon next to Result explains what the room height is measured from and what ±0.000 is.

Good to know

  • Example: storey 300, slab 22, floor 8, stretch ceiling 5. Result: walls above the floor 270, masonry 278, rooms 265.
  • Walls without their own height go up to the underside of the slab by themselves. A wall with its own height (Height in the wall window) stays as set: the wall height is measured from the finished floor.
  • In the 3D view below the finished floor you can see the slab and the floor at their true thickness. The ceiling is visible during the walkthrough.
  • H on the plan shows the room height from its finished floor to the ceiling.
